Helen is a Registered Counsellor with the Australian Counselling Association and registrant of PACFA; Accredited Practising Dietitian and family-based therapist with over 20 years in experience. She specialises in working with children and adolescents with eating disorders, disordered eating, and body image issues.

As a qualified teacher, counsellor and dietitian Helen has worked with children both in a hospital, school setting and privately for many years. She understands the pressure that children face at school and in life and how stressful it can be for some children to be away from their parents and families. 


Helen works with parents and children to help them understand the relationship between nutrition/diet and behaviour as well as other factors such as anxiety, depression, and behavioural issues related to grief, trauma and family separation. 


Helen works with adolescents on issues such as school refusal, addiction, bullying, school transition, friendships and any other issues that may impact the growth and development of the young person.


Helen is unique as has 3 areas of expertise that she offers children and families. 

Helen has a very gentle and calm approach and uses a collaborative approach to help clients better understand their behaviours and work towards achieving their goals.
